Legal Information
Welcome to IM Central! By accessing or using our website, course materials, and services, you agree to be bound by the following terms, conditions, and policies. Please read them carefully.
1. Educational Purposes Only & Medical Disclaimer
The content, materials, and information provided on this website and within the course curriculum are intended strictly for educational and exam preparation purposes for Internal Medicine residents.
This course does not constitute medical advice. The information presented is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment, independent medical evaluation, or institutional protocols. While we strive to ensure the medical information provided is accurate and up to date at the time of publication, the field of internal medicine is constantly evolving. Guidelines, standards of care, and pharmacological recommendations change frequently. Course participants are solely responsible for verifying information, consulting current literature, and applying their own professional judgment in any clinical setting.
Under no circumstances should the materials in this course be used to diagnose or treat patients, nor should they replace the standard of care required in your medical practice.
2. Exam Results Disclaimer
IM Central is designed as a study aid to assist residents in preparing for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) certification examination in Internal Medicine.
However, we make no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding your performance on the exam. Purchasing, accessing, or completing our curriculum does not guarantee a passing grade, a specific score, or successful board certification. Individual exam results depend on a wide variety of factors, including personal study habits, prior knowledge, and exam-day performance.
3. Payments, Course Access, and Refund Policy
Course Access: Access to the course materials is granted automatically and begins as soon as your payment is processed. You will be able to log in and view the curriculum immediately.
General Refund Policy: Because our course is a comprehensive digital product that is delivered instantly, except as outlined below, all sales are final. Once a completed course has been purchased and accessed by the user, it is strictly non-refundable. We do not offer full or partial refunds for incomplete usage, change of mind, or if you decide not to write the exam. Please review the course syllabus and descriptions carefully prior to making your purchase.
- Exception for In-Progress Materials: We are continuously developing our curriculum, and certain sections or modules may be listed as “in progress.” If you mistakenly purchase a course or module for which absolutely no content or material has been posted at the time of your transaction, you are eligible to request a refund. In this specific scenario, the purchase price will be refunded to your original payment method, less a $10 administrative fee.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IM Central, its creators, instructors, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of this website or course materials.
This limitation of liability explicitly includes, but is not limited to:
Failure to pass the Royal College examination or any other medical board exam.
Loss of employment, medical licensure, or professional standing.
Clinical errors, adverse patient outcomes, or malpractice claims resulting from the application of concepts discussed in this course.
Loss of data, unauthorized access to your account, or temporary website downtime.
By using this service, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless IM Central and its contributors from any claims or damages arising from your use of the provided educational content.
5. Intellectual Property & Copyright
All content provided within this course—including but not limited to text, video lectures, practice questions, and flashcards—is the exclusive intellectual property of IM Central and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws.
Your purchase grants you a single, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the materials for your personal study use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, share, or sell any part of this curriculum.
Content Creation and Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): To provide the most comprehensive and up-to-date study materials, IM Central may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist in the initial drafting, structuring, or formatting of certain course elements, such as practice questions or visual assets. Please note that all AI-assisted content is rigorously reviewed, edited, and verified for medical accuracy by qualified human physicians prior to publication. The AI acts strictly as an administrative and design tool; the clinical judgment, curation, and final educational material remain entirely the product of our expert medical faculty.
Prohibition on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Input: You are strictly prohibited from copying, pasting, uploading, or otherwise inputting any portion of the course materials (including text, practice questions, explanations, and images) into artificial intelligence (AI) software, large language models (LLMs), machine learning platforms, or generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) to train algorithmic models or generate derivative works.
6. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data.
Information We Collect: When you register for the course, we collect personal information such as your name, email address, residency program details, and payment information. We also collect usage data, such as your progress through the curriculum and practice quiz scores, to provide you with a personalized experience.

Violation of this policy, or any attempt to scrape, download, distribute, or input course materials into AI software, will result in immediate termination of your account without a refund, and may result in further legal action.
8. Severability
If any provision or part of a provision of these Terms is found by a court or other authority of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision or part-provision shall, to the extent required, be deemed not to form part of these Terms. The validity and enforceability of all other provisions of these Terms shall not be affected and will remain in full force and effect.
